This is a test. Does this come through?

Well, next week is my last week of family leave. I’ve truly enjoyed spending these last three months with my son. I enjoy smiling at him and watching him smile back. He laughs, and the sound melts my heart. I’ve always heard people say that you will be surprised that you can love someone so much. I know now what they mean.

While the previous site theme matched the site, I was not particularly jazzed with the final presentation. For the time being, I’ve changed to a more professional black look, which I will probably tweak further when I have more time.

This is a test to see if I can post via the w.bloggar software.

Well, I go back to work in three weeks, give or take. I have enjoyed spending these past months taking care of my son. He’s generally been an angel, and I think the time has been enriching for both of us. I’ll be training the nanny for the next two weeks.

Well, I was getting tired of the narrow green look, so I went on over to OSWD and found a new template called LazyDays. I spent about an hour in NVU and Paint Shop Pro to make some customizations. I also found a Wordpress theme that matches up, so the site looks even more uniform.
Gee, I wonder if I can find a matching theme for the wiki…

So, I’m taking three months off from work to take care of my son. For some part of my time off, my wife will also be off, so the three of us will get a chance to bond together. I’ll also be visiting my folks sometime soon so that they can see their grandson.
It’s going to be weird not working for a while. Except for vacations, I’ve worked pretty much nonstop since I was 15 years old. (**Okay, there were a few semesters in college where I didn’t work, but I think that’s a special situation**) I’m sure, however, that Kyle will keep me from getting anything else done EXCEPT caring for him, so taking care of him will be my full-time job.
