Ah, my latest musical guilty pleasure. Koop, a Scandinavian band, has recently release Come to Me, which is an infectious jazz tune. The song evokes big band and swing era music, and it’s a great antidote to a lot of today’s angsty music.

An interesting occurrence. For some time, I have gotten email in my GMail account from a school in Oregon. I don’t know why I was getting them, but I basically just deleted them as they arrived, which wasn’t that frequently.
Well, today, I get a response to one of those emails, from a man by the name of Scott Bulloch. I’ve always known that there are about eight men here in the U.S. who share my name. This is one of them, from the Portland OR area, as near as I can tell.
So, I sent a response to the school (and the other Scott) to address the confusion and see about getting removed from the emails.
Sort of wierd to communicate with someone else who has your name. I guess it’s much more common if you’re John Smith, though.

Well, yesterday, my IT department saw fit to replace my laptop. I used to work on an IBM Thinkpad R32. They replaced that with a Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad T60. I now have integrated wireless, 2GB of memory, and 100GB of hard drive space. Blazingly fast! And even better, it’s got a CD burner.
